- June 1, 2018Added 16 tiled uncompressed BTFs of MAM 2014 materials.
- September 2, 2017Adaptively measured anisotropic BRDFs.
- July 1, 2015Mitsuba renderer and ALTA Library now support our BRDF database.
- October 8, 2014Database of 150 anisotropic BRDFs released.
UTIA BTF database is a new source of publicly available Bidirectional Texture Function (BTF) and Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution function (BRDF) measurements. As accurate acquisition and processing of BTF data is expensive, time and resource demanding there is a lack of publicly available BTF/BRDF datasets for research purposes.
Our motivation is to support correct material appearance modelling research by offering several novel high-resolution HDR datasets.
The UTIA BTF database is gradually expanding. Your possible measurement suggestions are welcomed.
