- July 2012Website launched. First three BTF and BRDF samples are available (wood, fabrics)
- July 10, 2012Three new BTF and BRDF samples added (tile01, corduroy01, sandpaper01)
- April 10, 2013Dense BRDF measurements of fabric02 added)
UTIA BTF database is a new source of publicly available bidirectional texture function (BTF) measurements. As accurate acquisition and processing of BTF data is expensive, time and resource demanding there is a lack of publicly available BTF datasets for research purposes.
Our motivation is to support correct material appearance modelling research by offering several novel high-resolution HDR datasets.
The UTIA BTF database is gradually expanding. Your possible measurement suggestions are welcomed.
